EUROPEAN ANCIENT SHIPS Emilio Moralez, Juan Diego Solis
The Golden Hind, was an english galleon best known for its circunavigation between 1577 and 1580. Capitined by Sir Drake, it was originally known as the Pelican but later was Golden Hind to compliment his patron, sir Christopher Hatoon whose armorial crest was a golden hind. 1. La niña, 2. la Pinta and 3. La Santa Maria, were the 3 caravels that Colombus used for the trip to America 1. the Real name is Santa Clara, was colombus' favorite, and carried 24 people, left Palos on August 3 1492. 2. It was the fastest one, smaller than the Santa Maria. 3. the largest ship, it crossed the Atlantic and it can carry 40 men and it was slower.
